INERTIA Ministry is designed with the foundational pillars of the New Testament church in mind. Throughout history, there have been 4 consistent factors in the church which the Lord has blessed. These 4 "pillars" were evident in the New Testament church in the book of Acts and can be traced to today's church. If there is a church today that is being blessed by the Lord in numerical growth and spiritual growth, you will more than likely find these 4 "pillars" at the heart of their ministry. On top of these 4 "pillars", there is a 5th element that must be present in the church as well. The 5th element encompasses the 4 "pillars"! This is the key to INERTIA Ministry!

Newton's Law of Inertia states: "An object at rest will remain at rest and an object in motion will remain in motion in the same direction and at the same speed unless opposed by an unbalanced force."
Therefore, a church at rest will remain at rest. A church declining will continue to decline. A church that is growing will continue to grow at the same rate. All of these will prove true, UNLESS an "unbalanced force" opposes it. That unbalanced force must be the Holy Spirit!
At Corticelli, we do not want to decline, rest, or even grow at a consistent rate. We want to be a church that is constantly being led by the Holy Spirit in order that we may grow and continually grow faster and faster. Bottom line: we never want to be complacent until the Lord brings us home to Him.
The 4 "pillars" and their explanations are listed to the side. As our INERTIA Ministry Team continues to develop the road map for our church over the next 12 months, we will keep this page updated. In the meantime, please come experience a fresh encounter with the Lord at Corticelli as we ALL work to be what God wants us to be.
| Pillar #1 - WORSHIP - Worship is not intended to be a ritualistic, routine experience. Worship should be new, personal, and meaningful everytime. It should also be more than just Sunday morning congregational time. Worship should be a lifestyle. We should constantly give praise and glory to the King of Kings. Through INERTIA, we pray each person will experience the Lord in a new way and truly be able to pour their heart out to the Lord when worshipping Him and as a result, have their heart filled to the brim with the love of God.
2) Pillar #2 - STWEARDSHIP - When we hear the word stewardship, we automatically think of money; however, stewardship is so much more than money. Through INERTIA, our prayer is that each person will not only understand the full scope of stewardship, but fully practice it as well. This will involve honoring the Lord with the money He has blessed us with, but also honoring Him with our time, talents, and everything else we have. Everything we have, we have because of the Lord. Therefore, we must be good stewards of all we have for the glory of our great and mighty God.
3) Pillar #3 - INREACH - Inreach, or discipleship, is an effort to not only help each person grow in their understanding of the Word of God, but also to minister to each person in a real and relevant way. We do desire to plug each person into a Sunday School class that is relevant and interesting to them. We want to help each person grow in the Bible on a level they are comfortable with. We recognize that not all people are Bible scholars. Some people coming to Corticelli have never opened a BIble in their life until they came. Some have been studying the scriptures for many years. Therefore, we make our classes appropriate for people regardless of their experience with the scripture. Beyond Sunday school, we offer mid-week Bible study and other special classes, but we want this to be bigger than the church. We pray that every person will either begin or deppen their study of scripture on a daily basis. We will provide a Bible to anyone who does not have one. Studying scripture is just aspect of Inreach in the INERTIA Ministry. Further, we want to ensure that we are ministering to every single person's needs. We recognize that NO ONE IS PERFECT! No one at Corticelli is perfect or without sin. We all have struggles at one point or another. We know that every person outside the church is the same as us. Because of this, we all have different hurts and struggles. Corticelli wants to minister to each person in their struggles. In ministering to those who are struggling, we want to help them up and see them through their tough times. We dont look down on those who struggle, regardless of what the struggle is. What may be a minor struggle to one person may be a major struggle for another. God made us each unique and we recognize that. Finally, Inreach is an opportunity for us to build relationships with one another through various forms of fellowship. We have groups that go on hunting trips together, camping trips, conferences, dinner, bowling, movies, etc. Church family is to be more than just people we see on Sunday.
4) Pillar #4 - OUTREACH - Outreach is an opportunity for every Christian to be involved in serving the Lord. Corticelli has always been a church that supports missions around the world. We have sent teams around the world and helped finance missions around the world as well. However, with INERTIA Ministry, we pray that Corticelli will be more active in going on mission than we have ever been before. We want to send our people to foriegn countries, around the United States, around Missouri, and even around Russellville and High Point. The Lord commands us to share the message of Jesus with everyone possible, therefore, we are going to do just that. Along with going, there are many other aspects to Outreach. We desire to equip each person, regardless of their abilities, to be involved. We want to be a church that is excited about Jesus and what Jesus is doing in our family.

HOLY SPIRIT - AS mentioned in the introduction, the Holy Spirit is the "glue" that holds all of this together. We must be completely submissive to the leading of the Holy Spirit in our own lives and the life of the church. We must not make a move unless we are led by Him. With this in mind, the only way this will be accomplished is through much prayer! We must be a church that worships with the Holy Spirit leading. We must be a church that honors the Lord with money, time, talents, etc as the Holy Spirit leads us to do. We must be a church that studies the scripture and ministers to one another as the Holy Spirit guides. And we must be a church that takes the Gospel to all people as the Holy Spirit directs. Simply put: We want to be a Holy Spirit led church.
